The nose of this rum is simple but balanced. The vanilla and caramel contain some heavier notes of exotic fruits. The woodiness is spicy, caramelised and a little sweet. The fruit, also sweet, comes close to the vanilla to offer a velvety sweetness. The cane sugar syrup is spiced with cloves.
With a little airing, the woodiness comes through more clearly. The sugar comes in balance and quickly softens this drier tendency. The nuts are soft, blanched, as if pruned. They are reminiscent of sweet almonds or macadamia nuts, like in a cake batter. With the slightly floral aspect that follows, we realise that rum is not as simple as it seems, the weaving of aromas is rather interesting.

The entry in the mouth is soft and balanced. Sweet vanilla flavours the tobacco, and sweet spices do the same with the caramel. The woodiness is well seasoned and rounded, with pepper and honey. The rum then melts into quince and apple compote.

On the finish, the rum simply fades into notes of vanilla, tobacco and wood.

The grapes were picked early to ensure freshness and a fine acidity, and were pressed very gently.
The must obtained after a careful clarification was slowly fermented at a low temperature. The base
wine thus obtained underwent a second, slow, fermentation, in a closed tank (Charmat method) at
about 16ºC, and was subsequently stabilised, clarified and bottled.
MATURATION
After the second fermentation, a maturing period of about 2 months enables this wine to
reach its optimum condition for release.

When stored the bottle should be kept in a dry and cool place, sheltered form

Rich, opulent, and silky-smooth, Pian delle Vigne’s 2017 Brunello defies its challenging vintage with its intense, kaleidoscopic palate and its weighty yet balanced feel. Balsamic herbs, melted dark chocolate, pressed violet petals, sun-warmed earth, vanilla, and peppery spices frame the super-ripe, ultra-juicy cherries and berries in this bewitching Brunello. Sweet, fine-grained tannins meld with the wine’s bright acidity in this intensely pleasurable 2107 Brunello that’s approachable virtually upon release, though time in the cellar will make it even better.

Aged for four months in wood, this is a dense blend of Castelão, Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Trincadeira, bringing the north and south of Portugal together. The wine's structure is still young, full of vibrant black fruits. It will develop well, so drink from 2020.

The fermenteation of this Sauvignon Blanc was postponed until the winter months to allow for additional complexity, flavour expression and freshness.

Produced using the Charentaise method - slow double-distillation in copper stills

The lees (spent yeast cells) are kept in the wine to add additional depth and character to the eau-de-vie. Final blend is left for another 6 months to mature and ensure all components of the blend will marry well together.

This wine is made from 50% Muscat, 50% Chenin Blanc producing a wine with many layers of tropical hints, honey and pear notes on the nose. This is floral and fruity wine that is supported by a fresh acidity.

This is a full flavoured, complex Sauvignon Blanc. The wine has good depth on the nose with aromas of citrus, green herbs, hints of asparagus and a touch of sweetness. On the palate excellent natural acidity creates balance, a fine structure and a pleasant mouth-filling texture with a clean finish.

Bottega Gold is a Prosecco DOC obtained from the vinification of Glera grapes. The elegance, freshness and vitality of its bubbles reflect the beauty and tradition of the territory from which it originates, embroidered by the vineyards, capable of distinguishing itself for its physical and geographical forms, where the vine has assumed a central role for centuries.
The Glera grape cultivation area is located near the Venetian Pre-Alps and is characterized by long but not excessively cold winters and hot but not muggy summers. The vines in these areas grow on soils of different nature, with a variability of soils, exposures, slopes that make this Prosecco a wine with many nuances. Hilly terrains are subject to high temperature variations between day and night. This difference in temperature allows for the development of finer, more elegant and at the same time more intense aromas.

CHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS: Alcohol 11%

ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS:
Color and Appearance: Brilliant, straw yellow, fine and persistent perlage.

Smell: Typical, characteristic and refined with fruity notes (especially green apple, pear, citrus), floral (white flowers, acacia, wisteria and lily of the valley) and closing with sage and spices.

Taste: Soft, harmonious and elegant, with a slim body and a present and well-balanced acidity.

Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot make up this wine with a combination of mostly red fruit that includes raspberries, red pepper and black berry fruits on both the bouquet and palate. The rich sweetness on the palate makes this a wine to be enjoyed at any time and occasion.

HISTORY NOTES:

With the 2001 vintage, Villa Antinori became an IGT Toscana wine, allowing Antinori to have complete control of the winemaking process. The design of the label has remained unaltered since 1928 with only the very slightest modifications in 1990 and in 2001.

WINEMAKING NOTES:

The 2019 season began with dry weather during the first part of spring then cooler temperatures and rainfall that affected the vegetative cycle, slowing down initial vine growth and causing a
subsequent delay in flowering two weeks later than seasonal averages. Summer was hot with well distributed rainfall throughout the season that allowed the grapes to begin an optimal ripening phase. At harvest time, the grapes had a good balance between acidity and sugar concentration levels, excellent aromatic potential due to significant day/night temperature swings during the final weeks of ripening. The grape harvest took place ten days later than in 2018. Merlot
was the first to be picked during the last half of September, followed by Syrah and was then completed by mid-October with Sangiovese, Petit Verdot and Cabernet.

TASTING NOTES:

Villa Antinori 2019 is ruby red in color. Its intense and complex nose offers fruity notes of black cherries, plums, sensations of boxwood, mint, and black pepper. The palate is medium bodied, well rounded with supple delicate tannins that sustain a lengthy savory finish.

THE VINTAGE

The 2013 winemaking year proved a welcome reconnection with the glorious past of late harvest vintages. After a cold, wet winter, spring was gray, quite cool and extremely rainy. The hot and dry summer was particularly beneficial for the quality of the grapes.

On the nose: The delicate nose unfolds in swaths of color. The green of eucalyptus, mint and vetiver, the yellow-orange of mirabelle plums, apricot and orange blossom, the brown of pepper, cardamom and licorice sticks, and finally silvery saline and toasty hues.
